Charging for buses, trucks, cars and ferries

Charging for buses, trucks, cars and vessels.

The use of a busbar trunking systems in a installations for charging stations for cars, buses or trucks provides a cost-effective installation with regard to installation and operation of the facility.

For charging systems in parking garages, when busducts are installed, you can quick and easy add new tap-of units for charging stations without any re-cabling. You can also move around the tap-off units based on current demand.

For outdoor charging systems for buses and trucks, you can install a busduct IP68 with tap-off units also IP68. This provides a compact solution of transmission and distribution. It is also a flexible solution for positioning of tap-off units for charging stations where they are required.

For outdoor charging systems for vessels and ferries, you can install a busduct IP68 for transimission from main switch board to the charging point.

Products:

  • Metal clad 1000V
  • Betobar 1000V
  • Betobar 1500V DC

Where to use:

  • Connection between transformer in substation and main switchboard
  • As distribution system from switchboard to charging stations supplied from tap-off unit on busduct
  • Connection between main switchboard and charging stations

Advantages:

  • Compact design which is space saving compared with an equivalent cable installation
  • Transmission of high currents AC and DC
  • Flexibility which allows installation of tap-off units without modification or interruption of existing installation
  • Low fire load compared to cables
  • According to the standard for low-voltage switchgear, NEK 439 (IEC 61439-1/6)

I in accordance with NEEK 399 / REN recommendation in relation to use of busduct between transformer to main switchboard.
